Англи хэлний дүрмийн буландаа энэ удаад энгийн ярианд нэлээд өргөн хэрэглэгддэг бусдаар үйлдүүлэх хэвийн нэг хэлбэр болох have something done гэсэн хэлбэрийг хэрхэн хэрэглэх талаар үзэх болно.

'I cut my hair.'
'I have my hair cut.'
'I cut my hair' гэдэг өгүүлбэр нь би өөрөө үсээ засдаг гэсэн утгыг илэрхийлж байгаа бол 'I have my hair cut’ нь өөр хэн нэгэн магадгүй үсчин ч юм уу миний үсийг засдаг буюу өөрөөр хэлбэл би үсээ засуулдаг гэсэн утгыг илэрхийлж байна.
Тэгэхээр have something done гэдэг нь хэн нэгнээр ямар нэгэн зүйлээ хийлгэх гэсэн утгатай юм.
Дүрэм нь маш энгийн бөгөөд have үйл үгээ тухайн цаг дээрээ хувиргаад үндсэн үйл үг нь past participle хэлбэрт байна. Жишээ нь: Би үсээ засуулж байна. гэсэн өгүүлбэрийг хэлэхийн тулд have үйл үгээ present continuous буюу одоо үргэлжилж буй цагт хувиргаад харин засуулах буюу cut гэсэн үндсэн үйл үг нь past participle хэлбэрт бичигдэнэ гэсэн үг юм. Мөн тухайн өгүүлбэрийн тусагдахуун буюу үс /hair/ гэсэн үгээ have болон үндсэн үйл үг cut хоёрынхоо дунд бичих ёстой гэдгээ мартаж болохгүй.
